This vigorously flowing Spring was a key source for freshwater for the Ho-Chunk Indian School on Turkey River Reserve in the 1840s. Many more people living on the Reserve were dependent on this large and reliable spring for daily water needs.
Today it waters farm livestock and serveral types of fowl.
